Cultural Quarter Projection - Urban Painting, Leicester (Nov–Dec 2018)

Large-scale projection on a building

One of my urban Leicester paintings was projected onto a building near The Exchange Bar as part of the Cultural Quarter Projection, a free service provided by Leicester City Council to promote creative activities in the area. This projected image was just one of many images spotlighting events and initiatives in the Cultural Quarter that week, a great idea and service supporting local artists. It complemented my exhibition of urban paintings at The Exchange Bar.

The original artwork, created in Indian ink, watercolour, and pastel, was drawn on location and included the Exchange Bar in the composition. Enlarged for projection, the piece offered a fresh perspective on the sketch and made it visible to the public..
