Pressing Matters – Issue 15 (2021)
Article: “Learn, Think and Grow”

I was featured in Pressing Matters, Issue 15, in an article titled “Learn, Think and Grow”. The piece explored my experience receiving a Develop Your Creative Practice grant from Arts Council England for my Making a Bigger Mark project and how it shaped a new direction in my printmaking practice.

The article highlighted how the grant allowed me to immerse myself in print during 2020, starting with a residency at Cill Rialaig, Ireland. The landscapes, dramatic weather, and remnants of past habitats inspired a more abstracted and conceptual approach to my work.

It also reflected on how studio visits, mentoring, and connecting with other artists broadened my creative and technical outlook — from experimenting with scale, color, and painterly effects to developing new approaches in multiplate printmaking.
