LAND SERIES - Monoprints 2021 - 2023
For my Land series, I used a mix of drypoint lines onto a metal plate alongside painterly marks with printing ink. Each monoprint is unique but each shares some commonality of marks made on the plate due to the drypoint lines.
The theme of time is important to me and I like the way that the drypoint lines fade away after several passes through the press and then I add fresh stronger lines over it. This also create variety of line quality.
