URBAN LEICESTER 2018 - 2019
A series of paintings of Leicester city, some of these were commissioned works for St Martins Lodge, a boutique hotel in Leicester city. I sketched outdoors most days over several months getting to know the city. I used a twig with Indian plus watercolour and spots of pastel (Unison). I worked quickly trying to get an impression of the streets with the people, movement and history. I was deligthed the Cank Street Gallery (now closed) in Leicester offered to put on a show of many of them and sell my work.
