I am a visual artist and designer, born in Ireland and commute between Leicester and Dublin. I work predominantly with printmaking, painting and drawing. I work from my studio, Leicester Print Workshop and frequently sketch outdoors.

My work as a printmaker has been influenced by the natural landscape of the West Coast of Ireland and the UK. I am inspired by its dramatic weather fronts, primordial feel and the remnants of past human activity scattered around.

I combine abstracted, painterly marks using printing ink over metal plates alongside controlled lines using drypoint. I try to reflect a tension between chaos and control reflecting on how I see human endeavours in the landscape and life.  Each monoprint landscape image goes through great change until finally one ‘moment in time’ is captured when put through the press.

I was awarded a ‘Develop Your Creative Practice’ grant from Arts Council England in 2019 to develop my work as a printmaker.

I worked as a Television Production Designer in Dublin for twelve years before moving to Leicester to work as a design visualiser in museums and exhibitions. I was commissioned to produce a body of paintings for a boutique hotel in Leicester.

I have shown my work in annual exhibitions including the Royal Society of British Artists, Royal West of England Academy, Graphic Society of Fine Art, Society of Women Artists, Leicester Society of Artists, Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin, RBSA exhibitions, the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair and the Tarpey Gallery.
